The Inukshuk symbolizes the Avcorp-FHI Long Term Business Collaboration Agreement

A corporate member of the Society, B.C. based Avcorp Industries, has signed a long-term business collaboration agreement with Japan’s Fuji Heavy Industries. This Agreement was signed by FHI’s Aerospace Company President and Avcorp Group’s CEO at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo in the presence of the Canadian Ambassador and the President of Boeing Japan. The Avcorp Group designs and builds major airframe structures for some of the world’s leading aircraft companies,

The Long Term Business Collaboration Agreement between Avcorp and FHI follows on the heels of a major contract award confirming Avcorp as a major supplier to FHI of composite components for the centre wing box assembly of the Boeing 787 Aircraft.

The collaboration is symbolized by the Inukshuk, an example of which can be found in the stone garden at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo (pictured above).

It should be noted that the agreement between Avcorp and FHI will likely be the last major subcontract agreement for the Japanese Aerospace Company under the name “Fuji Heavy Industries” as the name will officially be changed to Subaru Corporation in April, 2017.
