Russell Mark is an experienced consultant, advisor and facilitator — a corporate diplomat — specializing in cross-Pacific business, economic and government affairs for North American and Asian clients. Since the establishment of a private consultancy practice in 2003, in addition to the provision of accounting and financial advisory services, Mr. Mark has become well-known as an active traveller to Asia, and has a passion for creating, curating, coordinating, and conducting thoughtful, seamless and unique culturally-adept client-customized executive education experiences and learning journeys in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and India from concept to completion – informed by diligent research and an extensive network of in-country thought- and opinion-leaders, senior executives, public officials, academics, friends and experts.

The most significant of the over 20 executive education and learning journeys occurred during the summer of 2005 when Mr. Mark curated, coordinated, conducted and completed a 121-day learning journey in China, including over 30 cities, 13 provinces and visits to over 100 corporations for 11 members of the 4th generation of a significant private multi-generational private Canadian investment company, including business, academic, historical, cultural, sightseeing and language acquisition meetings and activities.

Prior to 2003, Mr. Mark was a Partner in a major international accountancy and financial advisory firm, based in Vancouver. His career in public accounting spanned over 25 years and included client responsibility for major Canadian, international and Japanese corporations in a broad range of industries, and two senior-level secondments in Tokyo with the Government of British Columbia and to the Canadian Embassy (Global Affairs Canada).
