CJSBC – Konwakai  Annual Golf Tournament
Wednesday, September 17th, 2008.

Another wonderful day of golf and camaraderie!  That may be the only way to describe this year’s Tournament and Dinner.  In all, we had 52 participants and including retired members who first joined our Society over fifty years ago and new members who have only joined in the past month.  This year we were especially pleased to honour one of our golfers, Henry Wakabayashi, as a new appointment to the Order of Canada — who was introduced at the Dinner by our Society’s Honorary Vice President John A. Ellis, who first was appointed to the Order of Canada himself twenty-five years ago!

The day was sunny and warm, the golf (as always) incredibly enjoyable and the University Golf Club did its usual wonderful job of ensuring the smooth operation of the Tournament and Dinner, and preparing a wonderful West Coast Barbeque buffet… and, of course, the Tournament wouldn’t have been complete without the many golf and draw prizes donated by our generous sponsors.
